The way Clyde walks is very unique. He has trouble with the brain connecting to his muscles. He zig-zags around when he walks, he can’t walk straight. He walks sideways, and because his name is Clyde, he’s walking Clyde-ways! But it doesn’t cause him any pain at all. He’s extremely happy, and that’s all that really matters. Cerebellar hypoplasia is what Clyde has been diagnosed with. That means the cerebellum in the front of his brain is underdeveloped. And that causes him to have motor skill issues. Clyde came into my life when I was looking for a special needs dog, and I fell in love right away, as soon as I met him. He falls down, he bumps his head, and he keeps getting up. And smiling while he’s doing it, which is really rare. He doesn’t let anything stop him. I met this amazing man, via Instagram, named Miles Taylor. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and he is a weightlifter. He posted about Clyde, saying that Clyde was one of his inspirations. And I thought, wow, that’s amazing.Clyde is inspiring people with special needs. Alright, Clyde. Come on! Let’s go! Are you ready? Bye, bye, Clyde! We’re gonna be driving to Sedona, and spending all day in Sedona with Miles. Clyde has never really left Phoenix. It’s a once in a lifetime meeting, I think, and it’s gonna be a great experience. How do you feel about meeting Clyde? Looking forward to it? Excited? Nervous? What are you most excited about? Bench pressing Clyde. You ready to go to Sedona? This is gonna be a cool trip, buddy. And what’s really cool is you get to meet Miles! Alright, buddy! Hi! Hi, Clyde! Look who it is, Clyde! Look who it is! Look at that! You too! This is like a dream come true. The connection they have together is pretty incredible. It was cool seeing him light up like that. I can’t wait for tomorrow! We’re gonna go on an adventure together, things we’ve never done, they’ve never done. So it will be a great bonding experience for all of us. Ready for our adventure! It will be amazing for him to experience these new smells, sights, sand on his feet. The way that Clyde and Miles bonded has been truly amazing to watch. You gonna cross? Good. Gather up, stand up! Yeah! This has been a great experience for both of us. It was everything I thought it would be, and much more. Clyde and I both have a new best friend. .
