Hi this is Ryan Gwilliam with Expert Village, and I’m going to teach you about how much your dog really understands of what your saying. As we know, dogs don’t talk, all they do is bark. So, when we’re talking, all they really understand is that is a bark, that’s us barking at them. And, how they really understand what we’re saying is our body language. How are we standing? Are we walking towards them? If we are, then that means we’re serious, that kind of thing. So they more pay attention to our body language and our tonality. How loud we are is how serious we are about the situation. So that’s what they’re really paying attention to.Eye contact, they respond to very well. So if you’re giving them eye contact, that’s you showing dominance, that’s you even maybe challenging them. So, if you’re telling your dog some complex command and he’s not obeying you, don’t get frustrated because he’s a dog. He doesn’t understand english. It doesn’t even really matter what you say, you could use any word you want, you don’t have to say sit, stay, come, anything like that… it’s more about your body language and your tonality. So, any command that you decide to use, any word you decide to use to teach them to obey it, it doesn’t really matter. It’s just a matter of your presence and your tonality. .
